The guarantee applies only to Aqata Ltd products purchased from authorised retailers, and is only available to the original purchaser upon proof of purchase.
1. All products must be registered on line within 30 days of installation to validate the relevant guarantee. Failure to meet this deadline will result in a statutory 1 year guarantee on all products. Contact our office on 01455 896500 if you require any assistance registering your Aqata product.
2. The guarantee is only valid for products purchased, installed and used for private domestic purposes in the United Kingdom and Eire. It is not transferable to a third party, and does not apply to previously installed products such as showroom displays.
3. It is the original purchaser's responsibility to ensure that all products are fully inspected upon delivery and prior to installation. Aqata Ltd will not accept claims for any obvious defects found after a product has been installed, for example marks on glass or profiles.
4. The guarantee applies only to products installed in full accordance with Aqata Ltd installation instructions, cleaned and maintained according to our recommendations, and used in normal showering conditions.
The guarantee does NOT cover:
• Faults caused by wilful damage, neglect, misuse, accidental breakage or careless handling.
• Any product that has been modified, altered, transformed or relocated in any way without the prior written consent of Aqata Ltd.
• Use in abnormal conditions.
• Reasonable wear and tear.
• Inappropriate or inadequate cleaning (please refer to our recommended care and maintenance guidelines). This includes damage to chrome sections and painted finish sections.
• Mildew build up, the effects of lime scale and corrosion.
• Glass breakage and any consequential damage. (All glass used by Aqata Ltd conforms to EN12150-1 where applicable). Breakage of glass is not covered by the guarantee as glass by its very nature can shatter.
• Events outside of the manufacturer's control.
• Clearshield glass coating. This is guaranteed by Ritec Ltd, subject to registration (please refer to their terms and conditions for further information).
5. In the unlikely event of a product or manufacturing fault, the original purchaser should, in the first instance, report the details to the original retailer within 24 hours of the fault occurring. Aqata Ltd reserves the right to inspect the product in the installed condition.
6. Aqata Ltd, at its discretion and subject to availability, will either refund the original purchase price of the product (subject to age, wear and tear, and depreciation), or repair and return the product, supply replacement parts, or supply a replacement product. This shall constitute our sole obligation under this guarantee. (Where an identical product is no longer available, we will supply the nearest equivalent from our current range).
7. Non glass or metallic spare parts (i.e. seals, bearings) are subject to normal wear and tear through usage and are therefore covered on all products for 2 years from installation. These parts will be charged thereafter. (A one year statutory guarantee will apply if the product has not been registered in accordance with clause 1. of the guarantee).
8. The guarantee applies to the product only. Aqata Ltd is not liable for any labour costs or other consequential costs relative to the sale, installation or replacement of its products.
9. Where an alleged fault is reported, which does not fulfil the conditions set out in this guarantee, Aqata Ltd reserves the right to charge for the labour and travel expenses of its representative, and any replacement parts supplied.
10. The guarantee, which is effective for orders placed from 1st September 2012 states our entire liability and is offered to customers acquiring our products as consumers, not in the course of trade or business. All enclosures and screens purchased prior to this date are subject to our previous guarantee.
11. Should any products included in the lifetime guarantee be used for commercial use, i.e. leisure clubs, schools, hospitals, student accommodation, hotels or residential homes, only a 5 year guarantee will be applicable.
12. This guarantee is an additional benefit to, and does not affect, your statutory rights.
