Established in 1986 by engineer Peter Brown, we are a home-grown family-owned company renowned for our design expertise and are proud to be a UK manufacturer.
Peter’s expertise in design and precision engineering is the cornerstone behind the company’s success and now with his daughter, Managing Director Jayne Barnes at the helm, AQATA has gone from strength to strength!
We were nominated as one of the final four at the National Home Awards in the category of Bathroom Product Design, run in association with Ideal Home and The Daily Telegraph.
We were recognised for our use of innovative technology and design in creating the AQATA Minimalist Collection.
Still to this day we continue to invest in technology and equipment to bring our customers the very latest in bathroom design.
Launch of the unique Minimax® roll and click system, developed by AQATA to facilitate easy installation of larger shower screens and enclosures.
Our Spectra range of shower enclosures and screens is announced and showcased for the first time at the KBB 2008 exhibition.
AQATA made the transition from photographing room sets for brochures, to using CGI software to bring products to life.
Held at the Science Museum in London, the House Beautiful Awards 2014 comprised 23 categories of excellence in home designs, products and retailers.
We were lucky enough to be shortlisted in the category of Best Bathroom Product for our bespoke frameless shower screen.
In April 2015, AQATA were proud to assist Nick Knowles and his team re-model a house for a family based in Heanor, Derbyshire for DIY SOS: The Big Build. The work was carried out to change the lives of a family whose young son – aged three – suffers from an extensive brain injury.
The family needed more space in their home which included the construction of a single storey extension to the rear of the house to provide an accessible bedroom and wetroom.
The whole project was successfully completed in 9 days and we provided a bath screen for the bathroom (the Spectra SP495 model), as well as a Linneal shower.
We launched our new range of shower screens & enclosures, Design Solutions, in March 2017.
The collection gives you complete design freedom to create a showering space as individual and unique as you are, with a variety of individual style options available; including tinted glass, handle options and coloured finishes.
August 2018 saw us introducing the first phase of the Matte Black Collection, combining contemporary styling with an industrial aesthetic.
Elegant matte black finish profiles and steady bars as well as a range of striking glass patterns are available on shower screens from the Design Solutions range.
2019 was a bumper year for AQATA, with us launching the most products in 12 months ever!
We began with expanding the Matte Black Collection to include all Design Solutions screens & walk-in enclosures, followed by the DS506 which was featured as the cover star in the July/August issue of Kitchens & Bathrooms News. A curved quintet walk-in like no other, the DS506 has quickly become a fim favourite with our customers.
We also delved into textured glass in 2019, introducing our DS402 reeded wetroom framed panel and ended the year with the DS660 – our take on a quadrant walk-in enclosure.
Wow… what a year!
